What is LDAP?
LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) is a client-server protocol for accessing a directory service. It is used as a phone book on Yeastar IP-PBX so that you can search a key word from your IP phone. The key word can be a name, a mobile number, an email or other key words in the phonebook.
Use Case
With numerous employees and customers, it is hard to remember all contact information, like email and extension, which consumes you extra time to find out. LDAP feature serves as a phone book that allows you to quickly launch calls without wasting time. Just import your LDAP contacts and search on your IP phones.
