Number Masking for Enhanced Privacy & Security
Number Masking, also known as Call Masking, is a telephony feature used to protect the privacy of both callers and recipients by partially obscuring the caller ID with asterisks (e.g., masking the caller ID “123456” to “12**36”). The feature is now available on P-Series Phone System for both inbound and outbound calls.
With number masking, businesses can call customers without exposing the company’s direct lines or the agent’s personal number. Customers do not have to worry about their security and privacy of sensitive information (prevent data misuse) while contacting a business for support. The common use cases of the feature include:
- Protect employee privacy
- Protect customer privacy
- Ensure confidentiality in business transactions
- Meet country-specific compliance requirements.
System admins can enable the Masked Number feature in the Admin Portal. For details, please refer to the system preference setting.
Auto Provisioning Support for NEC IP Phones
Following the auto-provision support for over 300 IP phone models from popular vendors, the P-Series has now added the capability to automatically configure NEC IP Phones. This makes Yeastar the first and the only PBX vendor in the industry to offer auto-provisioning for NEC devices.
With NEC announcing the phase-out of their on-prem PBX, this new feature allows businesses to transition smoothly to Yeastar, enabling them to continue using their existing NEC desk phones without incurring additional migration costs and enjoy a more efficient deployment experience.
The supported NEC phone models include the following and more:

Support for Mitel Dect Phone Coming Soon
In addition to the NEC phones, the auto-provisioning support for Mitel SIP-DECT Base Stations (RFP 44, RFP 45, RFP 47 RFP 48) will also come this month. Stay tuned!
SNMP Trap Support for Remote Management
SNMP traps are a specific type of message within the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) that alerts network management systems about significant events or conditions. For organizations utilizing SNMP to monitor and manage their P-Series PBX over IP networks, this new feature is a substantial enhancement.
By enabling the SNMP trap feature, the PBX will automatically send alerts to an SNMP manager whenever critical events occur—for instance, if a trunk or IP phone goes offline—allowing quick response to potential issues.
Multiple WAN Interfaces Support for P-Series Software Edition
You can now configure multiple WAN interfaces on P-Series Software Edition. This network enhancement makes it easy for PBX to connect to multiple Internet Service Providers (ISPs) or other services that require multiple dedicated WAN connections simultaneously.
