The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), a new EU privacy law intended to put guidelines and regulations on how data is processed, used, stored or exchanged, will come into force on 25th May 2018.
At Yeastar, we are committed to protecting personal data. We have released a new firmware version 81.4.0.14 for Yeastar Cloud PBX instance with newly updated Privacy Policy Agreement and Data Processing Agreement to comply with the GDPR.
In our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement, you can find out information regarding how personal data is cared by Yeastar and how Yeastar works to be compliant with GDPR. We highly recommend upgrading your firmware and reading carefully the Privacy Policy Agreement and Data Processing Agreement.
Under the GDPR, we act as a data processor when processing personal data on behalf of our customers in the provision of our services. In the context of Yeastar’s services, our customers, as data controllers, bear the primary responsibility of ensuring that the processing of personal data complies with the GDPR. Yeastar customers are obliged to obtain necessary consents from data subjects and informing data subjects of processing activities conducted by Yeastar, for establishing policies, and for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as any and all privacy policies, agreements, or other obligations relating to the collection of personal data in connection with the use of our services by data subjects with whom Yeastar customers interact.
